Yacht charters, bareboats.

Yacht charters, bareboats.
Oookay, well , I have been busy browsing and searching for information about yacht charters. Luxury, catamarans, bareboating, deep sea fishing, aaahh!
My head started spinning from the availability and beauty of all the possible choices. Pictures of deep seas, shiny white yachts - dream vacation, isn't it?
There are tons of various yacht charter sites, and one of them, that I've found is Yacht charters
This is really a blog, with youtube videos of different yachts, articles, and sometimes a picture. Not sure, really, what exactly I want, but there seem to be nice choice of links,
and information there.
Ah, and yes, almost forgot - bareboat yachting. I have already spoken of this in my previous blog posts. Bareboat - is when you go yachting by yourself, without experienced crew. The upside is being alone (or with your girlfriend/boyfriend) , and ,of course, it is cheaper (since you're not paying people's salaries). Downside is, that you're on your own, which means you have to know what you're doing. Not for the first-timer, like me, heh.
The site I've mentioned earlier has information about bareboating too. Here is the link: Bareboat charters, yacht charters
You can find information about how to bareboat, list of bareboat charters, and so on. Useful resource.
Those above sites also contain information about luxury yachts (and their rental)

Of course, various considerations, when going out to the open sea, different ideas, experience sharing, and more stuff. I'd say, that I start my course from there.
And I want to repeat again, if there is anybody , who has already done chartering, know any good place, destination (maybe Caribbean? BVI - British Virgin Islands?),what type of sailing boats are there, and which of them are recommended, or has any other piece of information to share - that would be highly appreciated.
Anyways, I will keep posting updates , about whats going on with the chartering.
Cya,guys!

Luxury yachts.

The other day I have written about my new dream - a yacht.
I have been doing some more research about this matter. It seems, that buying a yacht can get pretty costy, but renting one (called "yacht charter") is a possibility for me .
Another thing - there are alot of types of yachts. Catamarans, motor yachts - small, medium, and large yachts. Cruises in BVI (British virgin islands) , Caribbean and Chroatia are one of the most famous, but there are lots of other charters.

Catamaran is generally a boat/ship, that is made of two hulls, joined by frame (or any other structure). Catamarans can be both engine and sail powered.

Motor yachts.. Well those are regular yachts with motors :) "Regular" is a tough word - because most of them are suitable for regular life, while luxury yachts have pools, cinemas,Jacuzzi spa, helicopter landing pads and much more. I think this is too much for me, but it is nice to know, that there are things like that in the wild.

Yachts speed is measure in knots , and they are about up to 26knots, which is about 28 miles per hour, or about 40kph (kilometers per hour), but this of course depends on amount and power of engines.

There are also so called "megayachts". These babies are gigantic yachts (those surely have helicopter landing pads),with all the luxury included - some have waterfalls inside. The largest yacht in year 2009 was yacht "Dubai" , built and sold to United Arab Emirates prince.

The yachts staircase is a center attaction

Be surprised, there are also fishing yachts. Deep see fishing for fun seems to be widely spread hobby. Special chairs, comfortable position - and voila - you have some rare fishes on your hook. If you are interested in this - search the web a bit more on th topic, you will find alot.
Maybe I will have this kind of leisure - must be extremelly relaxing.

New dream - a yacht

Yacht. That has been my new dream since a few weeks ago, when I visited a marine in South Florida.
While walking there, among the docks, I have begun thinking, what it is like, to sail in the open sea alone (or with a spouse) in your own (or chartered) yacht.
It can get pretty scary, just thinking of the endless dark-blue depth under your feet, full with fish. I can't imagine myself getting off the yacht ,to swim in this bottomless water, but it can very well become one of most exciting experiences I had so far (and I do driver a motorcycle).

Bareboating is yachting without the cruise - alone. You and yacht vs the sea. This is what I am at - I am positively sure, that nobody likes yacht crew members lurking around here and there. While they are there to operate the yacht, they also do pretty good job of stripping you of your privacy, which you might want (unless you plan to throw some gigantic party, and in that case you won't mind extra people).
Of course I can't do that just yet, not enough experience with the yacht, you see. But, hey! It is a dream, and dreams, that are easy to get - those are bad dreams.

Though, I am not really sure, what yacht charter I finally want - a deep sea fishing, party cruise, romantic dinner or a long-distance sail - a bareboat is my final target.
But, as anything - step-by-step I will enter this miraculous world, and I am sure to enjoy it.

I wonder, whether there is somebody like me out there, who has already walked through this dream, and fulfilled it. Maybe I can have useful tips and pieces of advice from him. What are problems on my way(except the money), what courses I must take, what information and knowledge I have to gain, and so on. Now I only see a dark forest ahead of me, and I.. am only armed with an axe of stubbornness and will.
