New dream - a yacht

Yacht. That has been my new dream since a few weeks ago, when I visited a marine in South Florida.
While walking there, among the docks, I have begun thinking, what it is like, to sail in the open sea alone (or with a spouse) in your own (or chartered) yacht.
It can get pretty scary, just thinking of the endless dark-blue depth under your feet, full with fish. I can't imagine myself getting off the yacht ,to swim in this bottomless water, but it can very well become one of most exciting experiences I had so far (and I do driver a motorcycle).

Bareboating is yachting without the cruise - alone. You and yacht vs the sea. This is what I am at - I am positively sure, that nobody likes yacht crew members lurking around here and there. While they are there to operate the yacht, they also do pretty good job of stripping you of your privacy, which you might want (unless you plan to throw some gigantic party, and in that case you won't mind extra people).
Of course I can't do that just yet, not enough experience with the yacht, you see. But, hey! It is a dream, and dreams, that are easy to get - those are bad dreams.

Though, I am not really sure, what yacht charter I finally want - a deep sea fishing, party cruise, romantic dinner or a long-distance sail - a bareboat is my final target.
But, as anything - step-by-step I will enter this miraculous world, and I am sure to enjoy it.

I wonder, whether there is somebody like me out there, who has already walked through this dream, and fulfilled it. Maybe I can have useful tips and pieces of advice from him. What are problems on my way(except the money), what courses I must take, what information and knowledge I have to gain, and so on. Now I only see a dark forest ahead of me, and I.. am only armed with an axe of stubbornness and will.
